The concept of Co-Living is not a novel one. Over thousands of years, people have sacrificed individual personal space for improved communal and social experiences. Co-Living today offers efficiency, but lacks the diversity and flexibility of architectural expression that its residents reflect. With an emphasis on connecting people to their community, Elsewhere is an inclusive environment that takes advantage of the prevalent “sharing economy” to give back to New York’s West Village. Co-Living environments offer opportunities to connect residents to each other and their communities at large, fostering discourse and interaction. The West Village, known for its vibrant, artistic and bohemian inhabitants, is an ideal location for young professionals. In recent years rental prices have skyrocketed, making Co-Living a more affordable and integrated alternative.
